FP7 - Financial and Project Management

The event will be held at the Hotel Novotel Budapest Danube**** and will begin with registration at 9.00 on 07 March  and the course will end approximately at 16.00 on 08 March 2012.

The training will introduce a hands-on approach to FP7 project management, highlighting the changes in the financial framework and implementation guidelines for FP7.

Day 1

• Negotiating an FP7 Grant Agreement - hints and typical mistakes. Successful and unsuccessful negotiations. What went wrong?
• Understanding the Grant Agreement - do you really know the Belgian law? Knowing what to expect from the unexpected.
• Consortium Agreement - how do you protect your interests and Intellectual Property Rights?
• Getting started - advance payment, bank guarantees, how to get things right from the beginning. The kick-off meeting...
• Keeping your records - efficient project management systems in practice, eligible and non-eligible costs, cost statements. Upgrading your system for FP7.

Day 2

• Coordinating a project - how to deal with the difficulties.
• Managing your participation - how to work with the others, and your relationship with the Coordinator.
• Reporting - milestones and deliverables, critical path. Behind schedule? The experts will help you out...
• Project closure and monitoring - getting prepared for EC audits.
• Understanding the new financial rules - what has changed for the next budget period and how you can manage the changes.
• Getting the maximum out of your FP7project - direct and indirect benefits. Making your project go beyond just the deliverables.
• Plenary discussions - project managers, FP evaluators and EC Project Officers will be on hand in order to address all your concerns.

The course targets all those competitively participating in FP7 projects after receiving positive results for the first round of FP7 proposal submission and those who have experience in FP6 and need to learn the new rules of FP7. Whether an experienced Framework Programme manager or starting Grant Agreement negotiations for the first time, this FP7 Management course will help you strengthen your management skills.

For business customers based in the EU and having an EU VAT number and for business customers based outside the EU no VAT will be charged. For these organisations the taxation will take place in their country. For all individuals (not business customers/legal entites having a VAT number) and for Hungarian legal entities the VAT will be charged.

Rates include course material (electronic+hard copy), coffee breaks, lunches for two days, a boat tour with dinner. Accommodation is not included in the course price but a special rate of the venue hotel is available via the Booking form. How to apply?
On-line application: You can apply on-line through our electronic application system. Just click HERE to register for this course or click "Register online" on the right-hand side of the given training site.l Online registration is fast and simple and allows you to pay online via credit or debit card or through bank transfer.

Application by fax or by email: You can apply via fax or email by sending a completed application form (available in word and pdf format on the given training website or found at the back of the downloadable brochure) to +36 1 436 9038 or to info@eutrainingsite.com. This application type allows you to pay only by bank transfer.

What happens after registration?
A confirmation email will be sent within 48 hours of registering online (or 48 hours after fax/email has been received). The email will contain detailed information concerning administrative and payment issues, and information about accommodation possibilities. If you do not receive this confirmation emails, please call Europa Media at +36 1 453 3801.

How can I pay the registration fee?
On-line Payment: Participants registering online can take advantage of the online payment system. The online payment systems utilises World Pay. World Pay is a secure online payment system that allows participants to pay immediately with a credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Purchasing, Laser, but not American Express!).

Bank Transfer: Participants may also pay via bank transfer after they have received the confirmation email from Europa Media. The confirmation email will include all necessary information required to facilitate a bank transfer. Together with the confirmation email, all applicants will receive an electronic pro-forma invoice  automatically generated that will also include the necessary bank transfer information (account number, IBAN number, SWIFT code, etc.). Once the transfer has been made, please fax a copy of the confirmation to Europa Media at +36 1 436 9038. The electronic invoice will be sent once payment for the course has been received.

*In order to take part in the international training, applicants shall send payment in advance, at least 10 working days prior to the start of the event. Please do not forget to indicate the number of your invoice and the name of the applicant on the bank transfer order!

How can I find the venue?
One-week before the workshop starts Europa Media will email you the "How to get to the Venue", a practical guide including maps, addresses, transportation possibilities, important phone number, etc. Using this guide will ease your travel to and stay during the workshop.
